Autumn Has Arrived 10/12/2010

This fall's warm weather has been great for getting outside and getting that last hike in, or going to a ball game, maybe even completing some of those "Honey Do's" around the yard.  The cool evenings are a good reminder that while during the day we enjoy the seemingly never ending summer, the cooler evenings bring the reality that the first frost is upon us.

The cold can cause great damage if you don't take the proper precautions.  First, make sure all hoses are detatched from exterior faucets.  Next, get your sprinkler system blown out; you can put off a full blow out until the ground freezes deeper, but you should at least open your back flow valve.  Finally, look around your house for gaps in your door and window frames; correct them with weather stipping.

If you need help with any of the above tasks don't hesitate to call us.  One call could save you thousands of dollars.
